Finding the right great looking jeans, that will live with you forever can be a hard task, sometimes we make mistakes choosing the right pair of jeans that looks great on you. Trying to avoid this mistakes can be done by knowing your body shape and the right jeans that minimzie your body problems.
- Hour Glass body shape:
This shape of body is often referred to as the prefect proportioned body and is defined by: Average or large bust, Defined waist, Hips in proportion with shoulders. The woman with the hourglass body shape often has problems when she is buying jeans as she easily finds a pair that fits perfect in the butt, but then has a giant gap in the waist.
Look for Jeans that come up mid-rise on the waist , Boot cut/flared legs or Stretch jeans that will hug the curves. Avoid Skinny/tapered jean that creates focus on the butt, Baggy jeans that hide curves.
- Pear body shape:
Many women fall into this category. The pear body shape is defined by having: Smaller bust, Curvy hips and bottom, Full thighs.
The pear shaped woman need to shop for jeans that create a balance between top and bottom. Go for Jeans with mid or lower rise, Boot cut jeans to create balance with the hip and waist area, also Flared/wide legged jeans will make thighs look skinnier and Dark colors will help hide larger areas. Avoid Large or detailed pockets as they draw attention to your bottom, Skinny/tapered jeans, High rise jeans, Light colors.
- Apple body shape:
The woman with the apple shaped body is often envied for her full sized bust and skinny legs. This body shape is defined by: Broad shoulder, Full bust, Non-defined waist, Narrow hip, Not much of a bottom, Skinny legs .
The apple shaped woman needs to accentuate her voluminous bust and skinny legs and divert attention from the non-defined waist and butt. So go for Large/detailed pockets that ads volume to the butt, Boot cut/flared legs will elongate and show of skinny legs, Lighter colored jeans to draw attention to legs. And avoid Tight jeans as they will draw attention to the mid section and create a ‘muffin top’, Skinny/tapered jeans that will make legs look even skinnier.
- Boyish/rectangular/ bananna body shape:
This is the shape currently desired for most runway models. As the name insinuates, the rectangular body shape has very little curves.
The boyish body shape is defined by:Undefined waist , Long skinny legs, Small to average bust.
The challenge for women with a rectangular body shape is to create the illusion of curves. So look for Jeans with detailed pockets will make the bottom appear bigger, Low-rise jeans will help define the waist, Skinny jeans to show of the legs. Totally Avoid High-rise jeans that will make the already non-defined waist disappear, Straight legs will make the body look like it has even less curves.
