As the face of Dior’s fragrance J’Adore, charlize Theron has been gearing up for a limited-edition launch in celebration of the scent’s 10th anniversary. And the campaign’s makeup artist, Shane Paish, said that when campaign finally comes out in for the September launch, they’ll have plenty of images to choose from — especially considering how stunning these outtakes are.
“There were so many looks,” he says of the photo shoot. “It was like working on a nonstop treadmill — shooting one look, then running back to the chair for different hair and makeup, changing looks and starting all over again. We started with a natural look and then worked up to a high-fashion look with dark lips to give it some variety.” And he made sure that the on-set mood fit with the shifting styles: “We listened to tons of different music to stay inspired, everything from Culture Club to Indian chanting. The mood was fun, fast-paced and creative. All the clothing was Dior.
